Biomechanics is the study of forces and their effects on living systems. A postgraduate program provides advanced knowledge in biomechanics particularly related to performance enhancement and injury prevention.

The Faculty of Human Kinetics offers a PhD program in Human Kinetics, with a specialization in different scientific areas. Biomechanics is one of the topics.

Detailed information about the PhD program, including requirements, application procedures and contents of the program, can be found on the website of the faculty: http://www.fmh.ulisboa.pt/pt/doutoramentos
